Meet Our Founder, Drew
Drew Chapin founded The Discoverability Company because he knows what it's like to watch people who are great at what they do struggle to get noticed. He's seen it his whole life.
The Why: Small Business Roots
Drew grew up in a small business family. He watched his parents build something from nothing, hustle to keep the doors open, and do everything themselves because there was no one else to do it. He saw firsthand how hard it is to compete when you don't have a big marketing budget, a team of specialists, or the time to figure out how to get discovered.
But he also saw the impact that personal relationships, high-touch service, and genuine care for customers could have. Small businesses thrive when they're able to connect with the people who need them. The problem is, in today's fragmented digital landscape, making those connections has become exponentially harder.
That experience shaped everything about how Drew approaches his work. He doesn't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions or automated systems that treat people like numbers. He believes in consultative, relationship-driven work that treats each client as a partner. He believes that people who do great work deserve to be found, and that getting there shouldn't require becoming an expert in SEO, social media, and AI discoverability on top of everything else.
The Discoverability Company exists because Drew wanted to build the kind of service he wished his parents had access to when they were building their business: someone who actually cares, who takes the time to understand your situation, and who does the work so you can get back to doing what you love.
Two Decades in Go-to-Market
Drew's approach is deepened by nearly two decades in go-to-market marketing, helping apps, websites, and startups launch and grow. He's learned how distribution works at every stage—from the earliest napkin-to-revenue moments to enterprise-scale operations.
His career has taken him through Microsoft, where he saw how real distribution works at scale; Feathr, where he was the first business hire and helped shape early revenue strategy; and Jomboy Media, where he helped build business operations for what became a leading independent sports media brand. He co-founded Benja Commerce Network, an early-mover in shoppable media, led e-commerce growth at Birthday.App, and served as an AI Business Fellow at Perplexity, where he worked on the cutting edge of how people discover information.
Today, Drew mentors startups through The Founder Institute and Temple University, and he speaks at colleges around the country about go-to-market, founder decision-making, and what it really takes to build something that survives contact with the real world. He's also a scout at Hustle Fund, helping identify promising early-stage companies.
But no matter how big the company or how technical the channel, the lesson has always been the same: the businesses that win are the ones that actually understand their customers, show up consistently, and build real relationships. That's what Drew brings to The Discoverability Company.
Drew's Personal Mission
Drew believes that people deserve to be discovered for the work they do and the value they create. Too often, talented individuals, hardworking business owners, and mission-driven founders get lost in the noise—not because they're not good enough, but because they don't have the time, resources, or expertise to navigate an increasingly complex digital landscape.
His mission is simple: help people get back to doing what they love. That means taking the burden of digital presence management off their plate, handling the profiles, the optimization, the monitoring, and the strategy so they can focus on the work that actually matters.
Drew is passionate about entrepreneurship—not the glamorized version, but the real, messy, difficult version where people put everything on the line to build something they believe in. He's driven by the idea that if you do great work, you should be able to get found. And if you need help getting there, you shouldn't have to navigate it alone.
That's why The Discoverability Company exists. To be the partner that small businesses, young enterprises, and individuals need to build sustainable digital presence—without the overwhelm, without the jargon, and without losing sight of what matters most.
